It's Okay to Be Different
by Todd Parr

We love this book!  It's for very young ones (Preschool -1st grade) and is so simple you might miss how very powerful its message is! Reading this book, kids learn that ALL kinds of differences are okay -- from 'serious' ones like skin color and adoption to 'silly' ones like having a different nose (depicted by an elephant) or eating macaroni and cheese in the tub.  This book is much more subtle than other books on this list, but kids will definitely learn that different is good! :)
