The Penny Pot
by Stuart Murphy & Lynne Cravath

Jessie is at the school fair and would like to get her face painted, but she needs 50 cents and only has 39 cents. The art teacher, who is doing the face painting, tells Jessie not to worry. "People will put their extra pennies in this pot, and you can have them. Wait and see." Sure enough, as children come to the booth to have their face painted, they each count out their coins and puts extras in the penny pot.

School Library Journal ended their review by saying, "Teachers will welcome this addition to math-curriculum materials."
