Another fun Words are Categorical title, this time focusing on contractions. This book has all the zany cartoon cat antics you've come to expect from the series and the rhyming text is as fun and bouncy as it is educational.
For example, in the beginning of the book, a cat points to an apostrophe says: ""As punctuation goes, contractions always feature these: / They take the place of letters / and they're called apostrophes."
The book then goes on to discuss and show contractions
using all the commonly taught examples. And, the contractions are
in a different color, making the stand out from the page. In all, this
title is a great resource to use when teaching contractions in the
classroom or at home.
