If You Were an Odd Number

If You Were an Even Number --and-- If You Were an Odd Number

part of the Math Fun series

These two books in the If You Were series feature adorable illustrations and bouncy, clear text about odd and even numbers.  In If You Were an Even Number, even numbers are defined, shown on a number line, and then presented in different scenarios--sporting activities, musical instruments, animal feet, branches on a tree, etc. If You Were an Odd Number follows the same format, with a number line and different scenarios with odd numbers.

The final page in both books includes questions for further exploration. In If You Were an Even Number, students use pennies to ask a series of questions.  In If You Were an Odd Number, students answer questions (about their age, birthday, phone number...) to see how 'odd' they are.
