If You Were a Preposition
by Nancy Loewen; illustrated by Sara Gray

 If You Were a Preposition

A great book to use when teaching prepositions. Examples are in a different color and in capitals to make them stand out from the rest of the text. Readers learn what prepositions are and how they work with other parts of speech to form prepositional phrases (with many examples given of short and long prepositional phrases). Colorful, whimsical illustrations add to the fun and help clarify concepts.

The last few pages include directions for a group activity called "Position Your Prepositions" as well as a glossary of words used in the book, and suggested websites and books to learn more.
