An accessible picture book biography of Lewis and Clark. Himler's accompanying watercolor illustrations capture the beauty and expansiveness of the American West as well as the personalities of the two men.
Our one concern is that it's pretty long for young kids. If we used it when teaching, we'd paraphrase for our younger kids, but upper elementary grades might find the length just right.
